Can we turn Franklinton and the Hilltop into a Blue Zone?

A 2018 study found that the Columbus neighborhoods of Franklinton and the Hilltop are among the four communities with the lowest life expectancy rate in the state

Compare those statistics with Blue Zones. Blue Zones are areas of the world where a great number of the population live far beyond the average life expectancy of an average human being. In Blue Zones living to 103 years old is normal. That’s impressive. One of the pillars of the long life expectancy of people living in Blue Zones is what they eat. Their nutritional protocols are surrounded by whole-grain carbohydrates and the priority of micronutrients is actually carbs, fats and then protein. Remember, carbohydrates are the most important macro nutrient when it comes to optimizing our bodies hormonal response.

The Sow Bar has been formulated to match the blue zone nutritional protocol of healthy whole-grain carbohydrates healthy fats and then protein.

I know that turning Franklinton and the Hilltop in to Blue Zones is a heavy lifting and it has a lot more to do than with what people eat. But What if we we built our manufacturing facility in one of these neighborhoods, created sound good paying jobs to our neighbors and our company was a Not Just For Profit entity that Sowed strength into the community? It’s possible!
